The joys of almost not being sick
I got into the StackOverflow beta this morning, and have been poking around ever since. It looks really promising, and I hope as it grows it's able to find a way to keep quality high.
In their podcasts, Joel and Jeff discuss how they see that evolving, and a few methods they've implemented to ensure that.
In my experience with online communities over the years, it's been pretty fascinating watching how they evolve, and how focus and tone change over time depending on key stakeholders.
I'll try to get back to this post with more specifics, my head is still kinda fuzzy!
Speaking of which, I love ibuprofen. I'm almost sad that I'm feeling well enough that I should probably stop taking it.
Finally, I really want to be George Stroumboulopoulos. Not only is he much better looking than me, but he's doing what I think would be my dream job.
If you haven't seen The Hour, it's basically a talk show where George interviews a rather eclectic mix of random people. What I appreciate about his style is how in depth he researches his guests and their works/lives. I imagine the sheer amount of stuff he knows just randomly from his wide array of guests must be staggering.
I bet he plays a mean round of Trivial Pursuit.
