I know I haven't written in awhile, which is very disappointing to my 3 readers. (On the plus side, that represents a 300% increase since day 1). Partly it's because I've been "busy", and partly because I've had to deal with the ultimate betrayal.

Someone in my apartment building is a newspaper thief! For those who religiously pour over my every word, you may be sitting there smirking, especially given my confessional a few posts back. But let me remind you, I never actually stole a paper, I just *thought* about it once. Or twice.

Anyhow, I woke up a bit later than usual on a gloomy Saturday, and excitedly made my way downstairs for coffee and my paper. How I was looking forward to spending a lazy morning pouring over the lifestyles section, chuckling at the weekend comics, and frowning at the utter mess that is the US economy before it bleeds over into our own. Imagine then, my shock and horror at realizing that there was no paper!

The bitter truth is that my worst fears, confessions I could only reveal to telemarketers, had come true. People in my apartment really were devious, evil gremlins, who could not help themselves from taking a poor innocent paper, clearly marked with an apartment number that was not theirs.

My brother, who has always been very supportive of me, responded with a curt "serves you right" via facebook. Thanks. Apparently he's still bitter that I mentioned I had thought about borrowing a paper once before.

We're not that good

Yes, it's true, our team isn't exactly tearing up the dodgeball league, but on the plus side, thanks to our ineptitude, we now get to play a tier lower, and the competition is "more compatible".

Happily, I also ran into an old high school friend of mine. We used to work at a local fast food outlet back in the day, and she was instrumental in keeping both of us sane during that time. Together, we passed the time by throwing fries at each other and partaking in The Burger Olympics. I'm thrilled that we've grown up after all these years and are now throwing foam balls instead.

Also, the SO was called to duty due to the minimum number of girls playing rule, and wanted me to report that she did an admirable job, taking out a number of opponents on the other team (even if some of it was by accident), and generally being among the last of us to be removed from the court.

And etc...

There should be a new feature up at buildering.net soonish, I'm just putting the finishing touches on it!
